Meet Dr. Arielle Levy, a pediatric emergency physician and associate professor at the University of Montreal, who earned her master's degree in medical education with a focus on medical simulation from the University of Cincinnati in 2011. Since 2012, she has been the academic medical co-director at the Sainte-Justine hospital-based simulation centre, actively involved in simulation education. Dr. Levy has been a key member of the Canadian Pediatric Simulation Network since 2012, serving as co-chair since 2014, and has been involved in various national and international emergency and simulation conferences. She was part of the Royal College Pediatric Examination OSCE Committee since 2010 and the Pediatric Emergency Examination Committee since 2014. In 2015, she joined the Simulation Task Force and was recently appointed as co-chair of the RC Simulation Accreditation Committee. Dr. Levy co-authored the 2020 AHA Resuscitation Education Science Guidelines and the COVID-19 resuscitation guidelines. She received the Best Teacher Award from the University of Montreal Pediatric Department in 2010 and 2012 and the Award for Excellence in Education in 2014, and was appointed as a faculty member of the Royal College Simulation Education Trainer Course in June 2017.Dr. Michael Arsenault

He finalized his pediatric emergency medicine fellowship in 1997 and has been a key figure in pediatric emergency medicine at Hôpital Ste-Justine since then, including as chief of emergency medicine from 2005 to 2010. Dr. Arsenault was pivotal in establishing Canada’s first pediatric emergency ultrasound service and served on the trauma medicine committee from 2000 to 2020. She honed her skills in ER and PICU as a senior registrar for 6 months in Australia in 2003, then completed her pediatrics residency at the University of Calgary in 2004. She volunteered in Uganda, provided specialist rural locum services in AB and BC, and worked as a pediatric hospitalist for acute and chronic care pediatric patients at Alberta Children’s Hospital from 2005-2023. After relocating to BC in 2017, she worked at the Cowichan Tribe clinic and began at BC Children's Hospital in 2020, engaging in various roles including the Complex Developmental and Behaviour Clinic and ER overflow clinic, clinical teaching units and rehabilitation wards. Dr. Eustace has completed a mini fellowship in mental health, additional training in medical education, and served as the ACH site lead for pain advocacy, managing complex and palliative pediatric care.
