In her NP program, Cindy specialized in pediatrics, mentoring with a pediatrician, and managed a pediatric clinic in the Canadian Arctic. Her extensive background has honed her skills as a healthcare system navigator. Passionate about health and wellness, Cindy is also a devoted mother to a vibrant 10-year-old boy and stepmother to children aged 11 and 12, enjoying the dynamic family life. She eagerly anticipates bringing her expertise and care to your family through her work.

Yen Lee Siah

Meet Yen Lee, a committed nurse who graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2021. Since then, Yen has been serving in the inpatient pediatric medicine unit at the MUHC - Montreal Children's Hospital and has taken on the role of clinical instructor at McGill University. With a strong passion for healthcare, particularly in pediatrics, she is enthusiastic about working with pediatric clients and their families. Yen is excited about her journey with KixCare, where she looks forward to providing her services and caring for patients to the best of her abilities.

Iris Rossomacha

Meet Iris Rossomacha, a dedicated Registered Nurse who graduated from the BScN program at McGill University and has accumulated 4 years of valuable experience in the NICU at the Jewish General Hospital of Montreal. Iris’s personal journey as a premature baby born at 27 weeks deeply informs her work in the NICU, driving her passion for pediatric nursing. Fluent in English, French, and Russian, she is eager to enhance her career in the pediatrics field with Kixcare, bringing her unique perspective and linguistic skills to support diverse patient needs.

Peri Shaw

Meet Peri Shaw, a bilingual En/Fr Registered Nurse with experience in pediatric and neonatal intensive care from Sick Kids & Unity Health, and leadership as head nurse at a summer camp in Bruce Peninsula for 2 years. An educator at George Brown College, she balances professional commitments with personal interests in biking, running, and family time.

Catherine Lloyd

Meet Catherine, an experienced nurse with a varied career spanning cardiology, neurosurgery, and NICU at the Montreal Children's Hospital, to geriatric care at Maimonides and home care for the elderly with CLSC, where she was a team leader. Catherine's dedication extends to community nursing, particularly in adult mental health, and she has contributed to a sleep-away camp for children in Algonquin Park for 8 years. Outside of her professional life, she cherishes time with her 5 adult children and 4 grandchildren, highlighting her nurturing and family-oriented nature.

Cristina has a strong background in postpartum and newborn care from her time at the Mcgill University Health Center, as well as extensive experience in pediatric and primary care clinics in Montreal, where she worked both as an RN and nurse manager. Cristina is deeply committed to providing accessible and timely healthcare to families, and she is eager to deliver high-quality care to patients of Kixcare.

Her background includes work in NICU and Alberta Children's Hospital. She values the mission of KixCare to provide accessible care and enjoys outdoor activities with her children in her free time.

Cherie Ekuban

Meet Cherie Ekuban, an Registered Nurse with a decade of experience specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care Units and emergency Medicine at Sick Kids Hospital. She pursued a Master's in Nursing and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner designation from the University of Toronto. Now working in the Postpartum unit at McMaster Children's Hospital, she appreciates Kixcare's efficient care model. She enjoys travel, especially with her daughters, and maintains a healthy lifestyle through working out and running.

Dr. Samantha Dankoff

Meet Dr. Samantha Dankoff, who completed medical school and residency at McGill University, followed by a pediatric emergency fellowship at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. She has worked as a pediatric emergency physician at CHEO in Ottawa and currently serves at the CIUSSS-Ouest-de-l’île in Montreal. Beyond her professional commitments, she enjoys family time, chasing her two young children, and staying active with biking, running, and hiking.

Dr. Dan Poenaru

Meet Dr. Dan Poenaru, a professor of pediatric surgery at McGill University and a senior scientist at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre. He holds master’s degrees in health professions education and international development, and a doctorate in health strategy & management. Dr. Poenaru is a FRQS- and CIHR-funded investigator, leading the McGill CommiSur Lab, an associate member of Mila (the Quebec AI Institute), director of the Jean-Martin Laberge Fellowship in Global Pediatric Surgery, and a founding member of the Global Initiative for Children’s Surgery. He has published over 160 scientific papers and book chapters and supervises master’s and PhD students globally, focusing on patient-centered surgical care, healthcare AI, and developing global surgical research capacity.

Dr. Raven Dumont-Maurice

Meet Dr. Raven Dumont-Maurice, a McGill medicine graduate of 2012 and completed her pediatric residency there in 2016. A proud mother of two and member of the Algonquin nation of Kitigan Zibi, Quebec, she practices community pediatrics in Montreal and Kanehsatà:ke. She serves as the UGME Campus Outaouais Quebec First Nations and Inuits’ Health Content Expert at McGill’s satellite campus in Gatineau.

Dr. Michael Arsenault

Meet Dr. Michael Arsenault, who graduated from medical school at the University of Ottawa in 1992, completed his pediatrics residency at the University of Sherbrooke in 1993, and continued at the University of Montreal until 1996. He finalized his pediatric emergency medicine fellowship in 1997 and has been a key figure in pediatric emergency medicine at Hôpital Ste-Justine since then, including as chief of emergency medicine from 2005 to 2010. Dr. Arsenault was pivotal in establishing Canada’s first pediatric emergency ultrasound service and served on the trauma medicine committee from 2000 to 2020. He has been an associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Montreal since 1997, lives in Outremont, Quebec, and is a family man with two children.

Meet Dr. Caroline Ouellet, a Pediatric Emergency physician and assistant professor in the Pediatric Department at McGill, with her medical education from Université de Montréal and pediatric training at Hôpital Sainte-Justine, complemented by a fellowship at BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver. She is certified by the American Board in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine, she enjoys the great outdoors with her family and friends, reflecting her holistic approach to life and medicine.

Maria Mohareb

Meet Maria Mohareb, who started her nursing career at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, providing family-centered care and then moved to SickKids to work in Orthopaedic and ENT, mastering pain management, and complex wound care. After earning her Masters in Nursing and Primary Health Care in 2022, she now focuses on Haemoglobinopathies, specifically Sickle Cell and Thalassemia, at SickKids, contributing to KixCare's mission for better primary care access.

Known for her compassionate approach and dedication to evidence-based practices, Romy tailors her interventions to meet the unique needs of each child. She is committed to empowering families and caregivers with the tools necessary to support their child’s growth and development effectively.

Dr. Kristen Hallett

Meet Dr. Kristen Hallett, a seasoned pediatrician with 25 years of experience in both hospital and community settings. Dr. Hallett completed her undergraduate training in Pharmacy at the University of Toronto, followed by Medical School and Pediatric Training at McMaster University. She further enhanced her expertise with a Master's in Health Law from York University's Osgoode Hall. Skilled in managing general and complex pediatric medicine, Dr. Hallett has a particular focus on ADHD and mental health. She is committed to supporting gender-diverse individuals, including those transitioning. Her academic interests span medical education, dermatology, transgender care, developmental concerns, and the legal aspects of medicine, making her a well-rounded advocate for pediatric health and education.
